This question arises for any owner who has installed a solar power plant, because the analysis of the received funds is an understanding that the plant is working well, and there are no problems with the network and connection.
Settlements with the owners of photovoltaic plants are made in the national currency, but as you know, the green tariff is tied to the euro, how the conversion is done and how often we will consider further.
Conversion to the euro exchange rate is carried out at the end of each quarter to the next, it is established by the National Commission for Regulation of Energy and Communal Services (abbreviated as NKREKP).
For example, let’s calculate the green tariff rate in the first quarter of 2020 for a station that was commissioned in January 2020:
*a list of conventional designations is given below:
GTARIFF – “green” tariff for the date of the NCRECP meeting, kopecks/kWh;
GTARIFF 01.01.2009 – “green” tariff, calculated in accordance with the Law on Electricity, as of January 1, 2009, kopecks/kWh;
N€ mid – the average official exchange rate of the hryvnia against the euro, established by the National Bank of Ukraine for the last 30 calendar days preceding the meeting date of the NCRECP, UAH;
N€01.01.2009 – hryvnia exchange rate against the euro, officially established by the National Bank of Ukraine as of January 1, 2009, UAH;
K is the coefficient of the “green tariff” for electric energy produced by the corresponding type of generating plant.
The coefficient of the green tariff for such a station is equal to 3.02 according to the law on alternative energy; the average exchange rate of the euro during the last 30 calendar days until December 24, 2019 is UAH 2,631.213 per 100 euros; as of January 1, 2009, 100 euros cost UAH 1,085.55, so the formula will look like this:
G_TARIFF 01.01.2009=K*58.64;
G_TARIFF=G_TARIFF 01.01.2009 N€ Mid / N€_01.01.2009 =3.02*58.64 *2631.213/1085.55= 429.24 penny.
NKREKP gives a slightly different value – 427.93 penny. per kilowatt-hour. Taking into account rounding, an error of one and a half kopecks can be considered acceptable 😊
